Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Sunday 29th May - All 7 seen

    They were trying their best not to be found today, but I eventually spotted all seven cows hiding in the trees in the area around ///shorten.slate.enchanted at 13:10 this afternoon.  Cows 234 and 237 were standing, chewing their cud.  Cow 234 was using the tree she was standing beside to have a good scratch.  The other five were all lying down, resting and chewing their cud.

    All the cows were good today.

    Wednesday 25th March - All 7 seen

    All seven cows were busy grazing in the area around ///superhero.thinnest.beyond at 16:40 this afternoon.  They gradually wandered towards the path, munching on grass and leaves from the bushes as they went.  After a while, they all started to lie down on the grass at the side of the path, relaxing and chewing their cud.

    All the cows were good today.

    Saturday 21st May - All 7 seen

    Cows 214, 216, 225 and 231 were busy grazing in the area around ///host.evening.waltz at 14:10 this afternoon. The other three emerged from the trees around ///mountains.shatters.tripods about ten minutes later and waded through the boggy land to join the others. They all continued to graze away happily in the sunshine.

    They were all good today.

    All 7 British Whites seen. All happily Grazing near the horse jumping boundary. No issues apparent all look good and healthy.

    Competing for shade

    All seven were squeezed into the shadow of a small fir in the NW corner of the site (D3) at 1450 this afternoon. Apart from the annoyance of a few flies they all seemed well and content.

    All seven cows were seen grazing in the area around ///weeds.slot.insects at 18:00 this evening.  They were all happily munching on the wet grass.  Cows 215 and 231 came and said hello.

     All found and all happy. Split into two groups either side of Brocks Hill. Couple of little blood spots from ticks but no other issues.

    Good to see them back...

    I've just realised that the cows are back on and, as I won't be available for my usual Tuesday visit tomorrow, I went this evening.  I spotted all seven emerging onto the track from the undergrowth alongside the racecourse (D6) as I was coming down from the top of Brock's Hill at about 1840.  They all looked well and seemed to be in a hurry to get along to the east end of the track.

    All seven cows were grazing in the area around ///windmill.super.airbase at 14:15 this afternoon.  They all stopped and had a drink from a stream flowing through that part of the site before carrying on their munching.

    All seven cows were grazing in the area around ///fortnight.nods.repay at 17:30 this evening.  They were all happy and healthy.

    Friday 6th May - All 7 seen

    All seven cows were in the area around ///proper.slung.glorious at 16:00 this afternoon.  Cows 225, 227 and 234 were lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud.  The others, who were initially all standing, gradually lay down beside them.  All the cows were good today.

    Thursday 5th May - All 7 seen

    All seven cows were grazing in the bushes in the area around ///blip.boardroom.recall at the far end of the site, not far from the gate into the test track section, at 19:00 this evening.  They were all munching on leaves.  They did eventually all come out, cross the path and go grazing in the bushes on the other side.  

    They were all good tonight.
