Emergency Procedure
- Call the office on 01256 381190.
- If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
- Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.
NOTES:
- Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.
- If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.
- Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.
Thank you!

Cattle removed due to airshow, but some will return soon!

Tues 12th - All well
Back in the SW corner
As last Tuesday we found them all in the shade of the trees in the SW corner of the site (B6) at 0945 this morning. I wondered if they might have left the site already after yesterday's display by the Black Eagles. They all seemed well, but pestered by many flies, and were all happily chewing the cud. I suspect they will be glad to see a cleaner supply of water once they are off as the pond is rapidly becoming a mud bath.

Cattle due to go off soon due to Airshow
Hello
Just to let you all know that we intend to remove the Long Valley herd hopefully this week due to the Airshow. We understand that LV will be within the "exclusion zone" where public access will be restricted from approximately the 11th July - 24th July. Given the exclusion zone and that some local roads will be closed we thought it prudent for the cows welfare to move them just in case there was an incident and during this period it will be difficult to check them.
Some will go to Pondtail and others to the Hatch. We plan that they will return to LV sometime after the Airshow.
Thanks

Standing in the Shadows
All seven were in the shade this morning, as Gordon last saw them, chewing the cud tucked up in the far SW corner of the site (B6). They all appear healthy (not troubled by so many flies this morning) and, as ever, pleased to see a visitor.

Saturday
Found them all at 8.30 at the western end of the site beyond the corral. All grazing quietly and a couple raised their heads to acknowledge me and then went back to doing what they do best.
