Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    All together now…

Cow 214 was all by herself deep in the trees at the distant end of the site around ///alive.hardening.remains at 09:15 this morning.  She came over to say hello and was very friendly.  She has a little pink patch on her left-hand side, alongside her leg, which looked like a small bite.  It wasn't causing her any issues.

The other two, cows 215 and 234, were found grazing along the side of the path at ///repeating.wiring.pyramid thirty minutes later.  Just as I was leaving them, cow 214 made an appearance through the thicket to join them.

At some point during the week, someone has cleared vast quantities of gorse and bracken from the far southwest corner of the site.  It's certainly far easier to navigate now.

There was plenty of drinking water available in the woods.

    All three were good today.
