Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Thursday 23rd of March - All found Moving & Pony Information

    Hi All,

Found all 8 ponies and three cattle by the cattle grid in the middle of the site.

We've been informed that the ponies have been fed by members of the public so we have put up notices asking people not to do so. (Extra feeding can cause colic which is likely to lead to death). We've had our posters taken down from putting them up on Monday, so please check they are still there if you can. They are on every entrance into the site.

Everyone looks good. Just to inform you that we will be taking the 3 British White Cattle off Longvalley either this week or next.

They have lost condition so we will be bringing them back to the barn to feed them up over winter.

I'll let you know when we remove them.

    Thanks very much!

    Grace
    Grazing Team.
