Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 15th February - All 11 seen

The cows were lying down resting in the sunshine near the corral at 14:10 this afternoon.  They looked very relaxed and weren't bothered in the slightest by the heavy plant that was operating on the other side of the fence.

The eight ponies were all grazing in the area around ///press.mermaids.amends a short while later.  They too were happy and relaxed.

Three of them wandered off along the sandy path on the east side of Brock's Hill.  I followed and found the pony with the neckband from the initial four put on site, rolling around on her back having fun.   I'm not sure what spooked the other five, but they came thundering around the corner and ran right past causing the other three to run as well.

They ran as far as ///zest.rules.grading where they all calmed down and started to graze.  They were joined by the cows about fifteen minutes later.

The cows and the ponies were all good today.
