Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 3rd March - All 8 seen

The ponies were all happily grazing in the swampy area around ///bets.deform.dried at 11:45 this morning.  They were enjoying lots of long grass and the occasional bit of gorse and holly in the sunshine.  The ponies weren't afraid to get their feet wet today, with most wading through the mud and water to get the food they wanted.  Tilly was eating leaves and other plants from the stream.  She was dipping her nose into the water, searching out the tastiest vegetation.

The ponies were their usual friendly selves today.  Despite some challenging ground conditions making it difficult to reach them, they would wander over and say hello when they saw me.  They were all happy and relaxed and looking really well.

The ponies were still grazing an hour later, but they were slowly moving southwest.  It appeared likely they would end up in the area around ///ready.test.yield.  I suspect they were going to rest in the warm sunshine.

The ponies were all good today.
