Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 15th December - All 6 seen

One pony was standing relaxing on the path on the east side of Brock's Hill at 14:55 this afternoon.  She was looking good.  I had noticed the other five grazing in the area and gorse bushes behind her as I descended the hill.  However, I didn't need to go and see them, as they came over one by one and said hello to me.

All six ponies then went off grazing on the east slope of Brock's Hill, munching on grass, heather and gorse.  They were all happy, relaxed and looking really well.  Most had reached the top and were eating gorse when I left them at 15:45.

I noticed that the remaining collared pony was no longer wearing her collar.

The ponies were all good today.

At 17:15 this afternoon, I was given a lovely welcome, with the ponies coming to meet me at the main entrance and greeting me with soft nick...
