Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 19th April - All 8 seen

The ponies were all grazing on the north-eastern slope of Brock's Hill at 15:20 this afternoon.  They were spread out, but were enjoying the sunshine following the earlier heavy rain showers.  They were all happy and relaxed.  The ponies were all very friendly, with each stopping to come over and say hello.  Diva and Tilly were happy to stand and receive long ear rubs.

The ponies slowly wandered west and came together on the flat area of Brock's Hill around ///frowns.greet.tell about thirty minutes later.  They all continued to graze, enjoying lots of grass and gorse.  There were a fair few flies around today, but they weren't causing the ponies too many issues.  When I left them at 16:20, the ponies had started to graze on the slope again and were making their way east.  They were all looking really well.

The ponies were all good today.
