Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 8th September - All 3 seen

The ponies were grazing near ///model.thumb.lure at 15:05 this afternoon. They were very friendly and came over to say hello. The foal enjoyed a long neck rub, giving me plenty of head rubs and licks in return. Shortly after, all three ponies went back to grazing, happily munching on fresh grass as they moved east. They looked happy, relaxed and in great condition.

The little one stayed close by, enjoying lots of strokes as he grazed. Whenever I stopped, he would give me a gentle nuzzle, encouraging me to continue. By 16:00, the ponies had crossed the main path and were grazing near ///bother.boss.tint. While the girls continued grazing, the little one took a break, relaxing in the sunshine while thoroughly enjoying getting the sides of his neck stroked. He was absolutely adorable. After a while, he rejoined Megan and Pandora at the side of the Gelvert stream to graze.

At 16:35, the ponies emerged from the thicket and crossed the path again, settling down to graze on the grass alongside it. The little one enjoyed one last back rub before I said my goodbyes shortly after. The ponies were doing really well and appeared unaffected by the recent heavy rain and thunder over the past few days.

The ponies were all good today.
