Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 16th June - All 7 seen

The ponies were all happily grazing in the area around ///moods.caused.nurses at 17:25 this evening.   They were all very relaxed and were enjoying the fresh grass.  They headed into the thicket for a bit and continued to munch before coming back out into the sunshine.   All three were still busy grazing in this area as I was leaving at 18:40.

Steer 227 was found grazing in the area around ///spooned.spooked.coping at 17:50.  The three girls were all lying down, resting and chewing their cud under the shade of a couple of trees at ///twinkling.asteroid.zones.   They were incredibly relaxed and were enjoying the lovely spot they had found.  Cow 227 slowly made his way over to them, where he continued to graze for a while, before lying down next to them.  All four were looking really well.

There was plenty of drinking water available for the cows.

The cows and the ponies were all good this evening.
