Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 30th June - All 7 seen

The cows were all grazing in the area around ///stuffy.vies.thud at 15:40 this afternoon.  They were all happily munching on long grass.  All four were very relaxed and looking well.

The ponies were found in the north-east corner around ///danger.rolled.hinted an hour later.  They, too, were munching away and were doing a bit of hill climbing.  They were all happy and relaxed and came over to say hello.

The cows wandered past the ponies while they were still grazing at 17:00 and gathered around ///challenge.civil.sports.  They were initially all standing and chewing their cud before they started to lie down and relax.  The ponies wandered over in their direction about fifteen minutes later and started to rest as well, with one pony lying down.  This caused the cows to get up and watch the ponies with great interest.   Cow 227 was particularly curious about his equine friends, and he slowly edged closer and closer to the lying down pony.  However, after a short while, he got bored and wandered off and lay down beside the three girls.

There was still plenty of water in the pond, and there was still water pooled at the hydrant sign.

The cows and the ponies were all good today.
