Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 2nd June - All 7 seen

The ponies were all happily grazing in the sunshine in the south-west corner of the site at 17:15 this evening.  They were all nice and relaxed and were looking great.

The cows were all found in the area around ///major.reap.clarifies at 17:45.  Cows 214, 215 and 227 had buried themselves in the long grass and were all relaxing and chewing their cud.  It looked like cow 234 hadn't long got up and was standing, chewing her cud.  After a while, the other three got up and had a stretch.  All four then went off grazing together in the surrounding area.

As I was leaving at about 18:20, two of the ponies were having a drink from the pool of water at ///plot.digestion.weeps.  The third was munching on grass off to the side.  The other two soon joined her.

The ponies and the cows were all good this evening.
