Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Sunday 11th June - All 7 seen - water available on Test Track section?

The ponies were all busy munching in the area around ///compacts.stone.lime at 09:00 this morning.  They were all very relaxed and were enjoying the cooler weather.  They all came over and said hello.

The cows were found just inside the gate to the Test Track at 09:15.  Steer 227 was lying down, relaxing and chewing his cud.  There were a few flies about this morning, and the girls were initially stood head to tail and were swishing their tails to keep the flies off of each other's faces.  Cow 215 soon lay down too.  After about 20 minutes, they had all wandered off and started to graze in the surrounding area.

Slightly worried about the water levels in the Test Track section.  A lot of the places where I normally see the cows drinking are dry.  Are there other places where the cows can get water?

As I was leaving at 10:00, the ponies had all wandered down to the area around ///answer.mildest.failed where they were continuing to graze.

The cows and the ponies were all good today.
