Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Four ponies were standing just inside the entrance, at the side of the main path, at 12:45 this afternoon. Another was standing just behind them, just beyond the first layer of gorse bushes. They were all happy, relaxed and looking really well.

The other three ponies were grazing in the area behind. They were enjoying lots of grass and gorse. They, too, were looking good. A short while later, they were joined by a couple of the others. They all continued to graze, occasionally stopping for a rest. The darker of the ponies had a bit of a roll around and looked to be having fun.

Tilly was her usual friendly self today and wandered over to say hello and was happy to be made a fuss of. She enjoyed a long ear rub. The hair on her face continues to grow back thicker, which is wonderful to see.

The ponies were all good today.
