Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 18th February - All 8 seen

Five ponies were relaxing under the trees in the area around ///reason.height.deed at 12:45 this afternoon.  Three ponies were lying down, with another two standing close by resting a hind leg.  They were all very chilled out.

The other three ponies were grazing in the occasional sunshine a little further east around ///dorms.stitching.still.  They were all happy and relaxed.  After about fifteen minutes, the first five ponies joined them, and they all grazed together.  The ponies continued to graze in a north-easterly direction, getting to the forest at the end of the pasture shortly before 14:00.

When the sun would break through the clouds, the ponies would stop and have a rest.  Victoria was loving the warm afternoon sunshine and was struggling to keep her eyes open as she relaxed.  Tilly was happy to stand and receive an ear rub while she rested in the sun.

The ponies were all good this afternoon.
