Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 9th February - All 8 seen

Two ponies were grazing on the slope of Brock's Hill around ///local.measure.snowy at 14:50 this afternoon. The other six were grazing a little to the south, on both sides of the path up the hill. Despite the frequent rain showers, they were enjoying lots of gorse and heather. After a while all eight ponies ended up to the south of the path where they continued to graze. They were very friendly this afternoon and all came and said hello.
When it started to rain more heavily at 15:30, the ponies gave up on grazing and cut through the gorse bushes, gathering under the trees near the racecourse fence line. While waiting for the rain to stop, a couple came over and received ear rubs. The ponies were all very wet. After about ten minutes the rain went off, and they all wandered east and started to graze around ///goose.leave.ripen.
The ponies were all good today.
