Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 11th July - All 3 seen

At 19:10 this evening, the ponies were happily grazing in the pasture east of Brock's Hill. Pandora came over to meet me as I made my way down the hill, greeting me with soft nickers. She thoroughly enjoyed having the sides of her neck stroked, rewarding me with cuddles, nuzzles, and licks.

After a good ten minutes, we wandered over to join the others, who were still grazing contentedly in the warm sunshine. One by one, they came over to say hello and enjoy some strokes and rubs. All three were happy, relaxed, and looking in great condition.

As is started to cool down, the girls continued alternating between grazing and returning for more attention. They were all incredibly affectionate and content to simply stand and be fussed over, enjoying long neck and back rubs while resting in the last of the evening sun.

I said my goodbyes at 20:40, leaving them peacefully grazing in the pasture further east from where they'd started.

The ponies were all good today.
