At 18:40 this evening, the ponies appeared over the mound between the two pastures near ///marine.unfolds.helm, just as I had entered the area to begin searching the northeast part of the site. All three were very friendly, coming over one by one to say hello and enjoy plenty of strokes. They were happy, relaxed, and in good condition.
As the temperature cooled, they moved into the pasture near ///sings.occur.loaf to graze, making the most of the lush long grass and heather. They returned frequently for more attention, especially enjoying long neck rubs and responding with the sweetest cuddles and nuzzles. They also welcomed back and shoulder rubs as they continued their grazing.
By around 19:35, the girls wandered south through the thicket and onto the main path. After another round of strokes, they resumed grazing in the pasture beside the Test Track gate. They were relaxed and content, looking stunning in the soft evening light.
I said my goodbyes at 20:15, leaving them peacefully grazing.
The ponies were all good today.
