Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Thursday 17th July - All 3 seen

At 18:40 this evening, the ponies were peacefully grazing in the long grass near the woodland northeast of Brock's Hill, around ///move.gives.pedicure. They noticed me approaching and greeted me with soft nickers. All three were very friendly, taking turns to come over, say hello, and enjoy some strokes. They looked happy, relaxed, and in good condition.

After our initial greetings, the ponies alternated between grazing and returning for more attention. As they gradually moved south through the pasture, they enjoyed the abundant supply of long grass and heather. They took frequent breaks and came over to spend some time with me, thoroughly enjoying long neck, shoulder, and back rubs. They were all especially affectionate, offering nuzzles, cuddles, and the occasional lick.

The ponies particularly enjoyed grazing in some of the softer, more swampy areas as they made their way toward Brock’s Hill. At one point, Pandora lay down for a good roll in the soft ground.  Afterwards, she wandered over and thoroughly enjoyed having the sides of her neck stroked — fully relaxing, resting a hind leg, and nearly dozing off. After a good while, she rejoined the others to continue grazing.

By around 19:50, the ponies had almost reached the track along the eastern side of the hill, but then turned and began grazing eastward. After one final round of strokes and rubs, I said my goodbyes at 20:15, leaving them all peacefully grazing near ///dine.blink.fakes.

The ponies were all good today.
