    Tuesday 29th October - All 6 seen

The ponies were on the track between Brock's Hill and the Gelvert stream at 1500 today grazing the short grass on the racecourse side. All were happy and appeared well and, in some cases, plump.

    Sunday 27th October - All 6 seen

Megan was happily grazing in the sunshine by the path near the Gelvert Stream at 14:15 this afternoon. After enjoying plenty of grass, she took a break to come over and say hello. The other ponies were grazing across the stream near the pond. They were all incredibly friendly, each coming over one by one for greetings and strokes. The foal waited patiently, then enjoyed a long neck and ear rub, giving back nuzzles and head rubs.

The ponies continued to graze as they gradually moved toward the area near the Test Track gate, frequently returning for more strokes. They weren't in any rush to get back to grazing, each enjoying long rubs to their necks, ears, and backs. Tilly totally relaxed during her neck rub, and at one point rested her head on my shoulder. Pandora also thoroughly enjoyed a long neck rub and allowed me to remove most of the burs from her forelock and the gorse from her mane.

By 15:20, they reached the path by the Test Track gate, where most continued munching on grass, while a few took a break to rest in the last of the afternoon sun. About fifteen minutes later, the girls began slipping into the thicket to enjoy some leaves and gorse. Megan and the little one stayed by the path, grazing together. After nursing, the little one came back over for more attention, enjoying another long neck rub. I said my goodbyes just after 16:00, with mum and foal wandering down to join the others.

The ponies were all good today.

    Friday 25th October - All 6 seen

The ponies were grazing in the swampy ground near ///adapt.lorry.cringes at 15:50 this afternoon. The foal came straight over to say hello and enjoy his first neck rub of the day, showing lots of affection with cuddles and nuzzles. He was in no rush to get back to grazing, clearly enjoying the attention. The girls were very friendly as well, each coming over to greet me, with several enjoying long back and neck rubs.

The ponies slowly made their way southwest, munching on leaves from trees and bushes along the way, before stopping off to enjoy lots of gorse near ///glue.whispers.regret at 16:30. The little one nibbled on grass around the gorse bushes, before coming over for more strokes. After a long neck and ear rub, he started playing with the hood on my jacket, pulling it over my head several times 🤣.

By 17:10, the ponies had started grazing along the track north of Brock's Hill. They were all happy, relaxed and looking really well. Pandora took a break and came over for a neck rub, looking stunning in the late afternoon sun. She fully relaxed, allowing me to remove some gorse tangled in her mane.

The ponies continued to graze as they moved up Brock's Hill. I said my goodbyes just after 17:50 as dusk began to fall.

The ponies were all good today.

    Friday 25th October - All 6 seen

I was away this week so couldn't visit on Tuesday.  The ponies were cooperative when we visited this afternoon as one could be seen from the cattle grid as we arrived and they then proceed to cross the track one by one and head north toward the chestnut tree. They all looked well and seemed pleased to receive visitors as each approached to have their nose rubbed as they passed.  It was amusing to watch the foal chase a crow around that stayed on the ground keeping out of his reach.

    Sunday 20th October - All 6 seen

Megan and her foal were relaxing at the top of the eastern side of Brock's Hill at 15:25 this afternoon. The little one came straight over for his neck rub, showing lots of affection with cuddles, nuzzles and licks. Megan also greeted me before beginning to graze. Soon after, the other ponies emerged from the thicket where they had been grazing. They were all very friendly, approaching one by one for strokes. Despite being a little damp from the earlier rain, they were drying out quickly.

By 16:00, the ponies had started grazing, first at the top of the hill, then slowly making their way down the northwest slope. They took frequent breaks to come over for more strokes. Pandora was especially friendly and thoroughly enjoyed a long neck rub, giving gentle nuzzles in return. She completely relaxed, even resting a hind leg. The little one enjoyed a back rub while grazing, and roughing up his coat seemed to help it dry faster. When I paused, he playfully nudged me to keep going.

The ponies had reached the track at the foot of the hill by 16:45, continuing to graze. Tilly and Poppy looked especially gorgeous when the sun made a brief appearance. I was thinking of heading off, only for Pandora to wander over for another neck rub, which I was happy to give. She completely relaxed again, even letting me remove some gorse tangled in her mane. A few other ponies came over for more strokes when we were done.

As I was leaving, the ponies had moved to graze along the sides of the main path, near the entrance. The little one came over one last time for a neck and ear rub before I said my final goodbyes at 17:30.

The ponies were all good today.

    Friday 18th October - All 6 seen

The ponies were happily grazing in the sunshine near the Test Track gate at 15:35 this afternoon. They were well spread, with some grazing at the side of the path and others in the pasture. They were all very friendly, coming over to say hello and enjoy some strokes. The foal thoroughly enjoyed a long neck rub, responding with lots of head rubs and nuzzles. Pandora was especially friendly today, softly nickering as she approached before enjoying a relaxing neck rub.

As they grazed, all six ponies gradually moved into the pasture by the Test Track gate, slowly making their way west. They all took breaks to come back for more strokes. The newcomer enjoyed a long ear rub, before standing patiently while I removed a large tangle of burs from her mane. The little one was super friendly, coming over several times for more neck and back rubs. Judging by all the sand in his coat, it looked like he'd recently had a good roll around.

By 17:05 the ponies had moved back toward the main path and crossed into the pasture near ///bother.boss.tint, continuing to graze as the sun set. They were all happy, relaxed and looking really well. They all came over again to be stroked and fussed over, and it was lovely to spend some quiet time with each of them this afternoon. I said my goodbyes at 18:00 with the ponies still peacefully grazing.

The ponies were all good today.
