Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 13th October - All 6 seen

I received a warm welcome when I arrived at 13:30 this afternoon, with the newcomer greeting me just beyond the main entrance. She was very friendly, giving me gentle nuzzles before enjoying a long neck and ear rub. She had a lot of gorse on her back, which she was happy for me to brush off, before I tidied up her mane as well.

About fifteen minutes later, I found the other ponies spread out grazing in the pasture to the northeast near ///quote.evaded.locals. When I approached, they each stopped eating to say hello and enjoyed some strokes. They were all very friendly. The little one seemed pleasantly surprised to see me and gave soft nickers as I approached. He loved his long neck rub, responding with lots of head rubs and nuzzles. He became fascinated with the hood on my jacket, playfully rubbing and nibbling it, even pulling it over my head a few times. The little one was clearly having fun!

The ponies gradually followed the fence line to the northeast and were soon joined by the first pony, who had stayed near the main path. They soon wandered into the trees, stopping to drink from the pools of water by the fire hydrant sign. It looked like they were going to rest under the trees, but after a few minutes, they walked out to the pasture near ///rang.claps.rant to continue grazing. All eight ponies were happy, relaxed and looking well. I said my goodbyes at around 14:45.

The ponies were all good today.
