Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 14th February - All 7 seen

The ponies were grazing in the pasture near ///tent.salmon.rooms at 14:40 this afternoon, looking gorgeous in the sunshine as they enjoyed plenty of heather and long grass. They were all very friendly, coming over one by one to greet me with head rubs and nuzzles. They were happy to take a break from grazing and enjoyed lots of strokes and rubs as they relaxed. All were happy, relaxed, and in good condition.

The ponies slowly grazed to the southeast, stopping off to enjoy plenty of gorse. They would regularly take breaks and come back over for more strokes. Tilly especially enjoyed a long chin and neck rub, rewarding me with gentle nuzzles. Megan was also very friendly, coming over multiple times to stand close and have her neck stroked. Her eyes looked fine today.

Gradually, the ponies moved closer to the main path, effortlessly navigating the swampy, waterlogged ground. A group of four took a short break by the path before jumping over the ditch to graze near the Gelvert Stream. The other three remained on the far side, still enjoying the gorse.

I said my goodbyes at 16:00, leaving them happily grazing in the last of the sunshine.

The ponies were all good today.
