The ponies were grazing among the gorse bushes near ///sprayer.options.give, north of Brock's Hill, at 14:30 this afternoon. They were spread out in ones and twos, but as I moved around searching for them, they emerged from the bushes to greet me. All were very friendly, offering gentle nuzzles and head rubs as they welcomed me. They thoroughly enjoyed lots of neck and back rubs before returning to their grazing.
By 15:10, the ponies had started leaving the gorse bushes and moving to the pasture northeast of Brock's Hill, where they happily feasted on heather. One by one, they came over for more strokes and rubs, enjoying having the gorse brushed from their backs and untangled from their manes. They were completely relaxed and happy to soak up the attention. Tilly was especially affectionate, loving having the sides of her neck scratched and rewarding me with cuddles and nuzzles. At one point, she rested her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes, breathing softly in my ear. It was wonderful to spend some quiet, relaxing time with the girls this afternoon.
I said my goodbyes at 16:00, leaving them peacefully grazing in the pasture.
The ponies were all good today.
