    Sunday 2nd February - All 7 seen

Five ponies were resting beside the path near the Tweseldown Racecourse at 14:10 this afternoon. The other two were grazing in the gorse bushes behind them, but soon joined the group. All the ponies were incredibly friendly, coming over one by one to say hello and enjoy plenty of strokes and rubs. They were happy to have the gorse brushed from their backs and picked from their manes. When they weren't enjoying strokes, they relaxed in the sunshine, looking absolutely gorgeous in the afternoon light.

Tilly was especially affectionate today, wanting all of my attention. She loved having the sides of her neck stroked and her back scratched while resting. She showered me with nuzzles, cuddles and licks. If I paused, she gave me a gentle nudge to continue! Her eye looked great today, with the swelling completely gone and the area nice and clean.

The ponies continued coming over for strokes and rubs until around 15:25, when they began wandering up the hill to graze in the gorse bushes in the southwest corner of the site. Pandora wasn't done though and wanted another long neck rub without the distraction of the other ponies. I was happy to oblige, and she soon relaxed, thoroughly enjoying the attention.

I said my goodbyes around 15:45, leaving the ponies peacefully grazing in the gorse bushes. As I walked away, I turned to find Pandora and Megan had followed me to the cattle grid. I gave them a few more strokes before finally heading off.

The ponies were all good today.
