After searching for the ponies without success, I was preparing to head into the very swampy northeast section when Tilly emerged from the thicket near ///puffed.branch.curls at 15:25 to greet me. Though wet, she was incredibly affectionate, offering plenty of cuddles and nuzzles. I suspect the others must have heard my voice, as four more soon appeared and joined us on the path. They were just as friendly, coming over to say hello and enjoy some strokes.
After our initial greetings, the five ponies crossed over to graze by the pond. There were frequent sleet showers, but the girls took shelter under the trees and in the bushes. They regularly returned for more strokes, enjoying long neck rubs before having their coats ruffled to help dry off. Despite the weather, they were all happy, relaxed, and looking well. Tilly's eye was completely fine today, with no sign of any issues.
By 16:00, I began wondering where Megan and Poppy were. I crossed over and found them grazing near ///tint.fool.eagles. As soon as they saw me approaching, they came to meet me, happily saying hello and enjoying some strokes. Both were happy, relaxed and in good condition. After spending some time together, they followed me back to the path to rejoin the others.
The rain and sleet showers continued, and the ponies wisely sought shelter during the heaviest downpours. They were happy for me to join them under the trees. Shortly before 16:30, I said my goodbyes, leaving them peacefully grazing on both sides of the path.
The ponies were all good today.
