At 14:50 this afternoon, the ponies were grazing contentedly along the track north of Brock’s Hill, happily enjoying plenty of heather and gorse. All six were very friendly, each taking a turn to come over, say hello, and enjoy plenty of strokes and rubs. The girls were happy, relaxed, and in good condition.
After a while, three of the ponies wandered further north to forage among the fallen leaves beneath one of the trees. Each took a break to enjoy longer neck and back rubs before following me back to the track, where the other three were still busy munching on gorse. They continued to alternate between grazing and coming over for more attention, rewarding me with the sweetest nuzzles.
The ponies gradually made their way east, browsing gorse as they went. I said my goodbyes at 16:10, leaving them all peacefully grazing near the northeast corner of the hill as darkness began to fall.
The ponies were all good today.
