Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 14th January - All 8 seen

The ponies were all happily grazing in the area around ///mobile.duet.racked at 13:20 this afternoon. They were well spread out eating in the sunshine. They were enjoying lots of long grass and heather. Some of the area is a little swampy, but that wasn't putting them off. They were all super friendly, and would stop eating and wander over to say hello.

When the sun was at its strongest, several ponies stopped grazing and just stood and relaxed, basking in the rare warm sunshine. Tilly, the tan pony, was one of them, and she was happy to stand and enjoy a long head rub as she rested. The graze on her forehead was looking pretty much the same as it was on Friday (photo below). Once the sun went behind the clouds, the ponies started to graze again. They were all still happily grazing when I said goodbye shortly after 14:30.

The ponies were all good today.
