Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 12th July - All 8 seen

Six of the ponies were happily grazing in the swampy area around ///ironic.strange.hunk at 15:55 this afternoon. They were spread out and all enjoying lots of long grass. Megan was standing in the trees to the northwest, with the foal lying down in the grass to her side. He was happy to be stroked for a while before he showed off his rolling around skills. Not long after, he got up and nursed from his mum.
When he was done, the little one came running over and spent the next twenty minutes enjoying lots of neck, head and back rubs while his mum grazed. He was very well-behaved today, and was giving lovely cuddles while being stroked. By 16:35 we had made it to a muddy mound, where he started pawing at the soil before lying down and doing more roll arounds. He was in no rush to get up, wanting more strokes.

The other ponies continued to graze in the surrounding area. They were all happy, relaxed and looking well. One of the dark brown ponies has some dark patches on the sides of her face and a little graze near the top of her head. Photos have been shared with the owner. Several of the ponies started to graze around a large pool of water near ///removers.each.rave. They were enjoying the grass and plants growing at its sides. The little one joined them and soon went right into the water to eat more emerging through the surface.
The ponies all continued to graze for a while, enjoying lots more long grasses. By 17.00, all but Megan and the foal had begun to relax near the pool of water. The sun occasionally made an appearance from behind the clouds. Megan and the foal continued to graze nearby. I said my goodbyes just after 17:15.
The ponies were all good today.
