Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 14th July - All 8 seen

Four ponies and the foal were found grazing in the pasture around ///decide.civic.chuck at 13:40 this afternoon.  They were all happy and enjoying lots of fresh grass.  The other three were standing at the side of the main path, relaxing.  They were being bothered by a large number of flies.  Driftaway was very friendly and stood for a long neck and back rub.  By 13:55 another two ponies had joined the group resting by the path.

The little one came running over to say hello as soon as he saw me today.  He was his usual super friendly self and enjoyed lots of ear, neck and back rubs.  He was in the bracken on the other side of the stream with Pandora when I'd finished checking the other ponies.  But he came running back, jumping over the ditch, wanting more attention.  He enjoyed a long back rub, occasionally having some grass as a snack.  The little one was mostly well-behaved today, but he got a little carried away at one point and needed a telling off for a little bit of biting.

By 14:30, the ponies had all come together and were grazing in the pasture at the side of the pond, slowly moving southeast towards the Test Track gate.  Several took a break and came over for more strokes.  The foal also came back over for another neck rub.  The ponies were all happy, relaxed and looking well.  I said goodbye to them all at 15:00 with them all still grazing

The ponies were all good today.
