Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 10th January - All 5 seen

The ponies were grazing south of the main track near ///broadens.crazy.feeds at 12:45 this afternoon. They were very friendly, approaching one by one to say hello and enjoy some strokes. All were affectionate, offering gentle nuzzles and head in rubs in return. Pandora was particularly friendly today, staying close and enjoying a long neck rub. All five ponies were happy, relaxed, and looking well, seemingly unbothered by the freezing cold—unlike me!

After our initial greetings, the ponies returned to grazing in the pasture, but frequently came back over for more strokes and rubs. Tilly thoroughly enjoyed a long back rub while she grazed. The ponies stayed nearby, appearing to enjoy the fuss and attention.

The Gelvert Stream was flowing well, offering plenty of drinking water on both sides of the main path. After saying my goodbyes shortly before 14:00, I took a walk around Brock's Hill, breaking the ice on several puddles in case the ponies ventured there later.

The ponies were all good today.
