Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 17th January - All 7 seen

Six ponies were happily grazing near the corral at 15:00 this afternoon. They were all friendly, coming over one by one to say hello and enjoy some strokes. Poppy was grazing slightly further south in the thicket, but soon trotted over to greet me with gentle nickers. She was especially affectionate, offering nuzzles while enjoying a long neck rub.

After our initial greetings, the ponies returned to grazing but would regularly come back for more strokes and rubs. The girls were all enjoying plenty of gorse. Tilly and Pandora were incredibly friendly, staying close and relishing long neck and ear rubs. Poppy kept peeking out from the gorse bushes to see if I was free before emerging for more strokes.

All the ponies were happy, relaxed, and in excellent condition. When I said my goodbyes at 16:30, they were still grazing, with some having wandered over to the gorse bushes on the far side of the main path.

The ponies were all good today.
