Reminder to self: always completely circumnavigate Brock's Hill before setting off for the boggy corners of the site. When I visit with my wife, she walks along the track while I go over the top of the hill and peer out to the north and east. By myself today, after visiting the SW corner I crossed the hill and walked to the Test Track Gate before heading north into the NE corner where Gordon spotted them on Sunday. After a tortuous trek through the woods and the bog I made it back to Brock's Hill and something told me that I had missed the ponies on the track between the hill and the racecourse on the way in. Sure enough there they were moseying along clockwise around the hill towards the cattle grid gate. They were all fine and drinking from the large puddles beside the track.
Emergency Procedure
If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:
NOTES:
Thank you!
- Call the office on 01256 381190.
- If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
- Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.
NOTES:
- Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.
- If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.
- Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.
Thank you!
