At 14:35 this afternoon, the ponies were sheltering from the rain in the trees near ///ranked.originate.warm, over in the very swampy northeastern corner of the site. A delightful chorus of gentle nickers greeted me as I approached, letting me know I had found them. One by one, the ponies emerged from the thicket to greet me. Despite being completely soaked, they were very affectionate, offering gentle nuzzles.
When the rain eased, the ponies ventured out into the surrounding area to graze. During a brief passing shower, they returned to the trees and bushes for shelter. They frequently came over to stand with me, and several enjoyed having the water brushed off their backs and their coats ruffled to help them dry.
As the rain cleared, the ponies made the most of the dry spell, continuing to graze as they gradually moved north. At 15:30, I said my goodbyes and navigated my way back to the main path, wading through the swampy terrain.
The ponies were all good today, despite being very wet.
