Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 14th June - All 4 seen

The girls were happily grazing around ///nerd.gold.relocated on the northeast side of the site at 15:50 this afternoon.  They were enjoying lots of long grass in the warm sunshine.  I could see the foal lying down sleeping in the shade a bit further west, towards the stream.  He soon woke up though and came running over to say hello.  I received a couple of lovely whinnies as he approached.  The little one enjoyed a neck rub before going over to nurse from his mum.  He quickly returned for a long back rub before lying down at my feet.  He then proceeded to fall asleep while I was stroking him.

The girls continued to graze and after a while, the foal woke up and nursed from his mum again.  They then headed south through the thicket to the area around ///held.stub.prickly.  The foal wanted lots more attention, while the girls continued to eat.  The girls all enjoyed a refreshing drink from the stream.  Soon after, Blondie took a break and went to stand under the shade of the trees.  She was happy to receive a head rub while relaxing.

The ponies jumped over the stream and continued to graze westwards, making it to the area around ///overt.drama.brand by 17:25.  The little one couldn't decide whether to graze or play, so he ended up doing both.  He was very well-behaved today, preferring to be made a fuss of and give nice head rubs rather than nibble.  I bid farewell to the ponies shortly thereafter.  They were all happy, relaxed and looking really well.

The ponies were all good today.
