Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 8th June - All 4 seen

The ponies were found in the area around ///dance.cars.hazy at 15:25 this afternoon. They were all grazing, including the foal, who was munching on some fresh grass. The palomino pony was the first to come over to say hello and receive an ear rub. She was looking lovely today. The little one came over soon after to say hello and to receive the first of several neck and back rubs. He was very affectionate today and gave me head rubs and gentle nuzzles while I stroked him. The other two ponies were happily grazing nearby. Megan took a break and went to scratch an itch on her back against some bushes. The ponies were all happy, relaxed and looking well. I managed to get a bit more of the treatment applied to the little one's bald patches today. I mainly concentrated on his neck, the right and left sides of his face and the top right of his head. He's not overly keen on having it applied, so taking it one step at a time seems like the best way to go. He was fine though, and came for another back rub before I said goodbye just after 16:00.

The ponies were all good this afternoon. Fewer photos than usual today as I wanted to concentrate on treating the foal.
