Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 9th August - All 3 seen

The ponies were found grazing in the thicket around ///duck.entire.elect in the northeast part of the site at 18:00 this evening. They were all eating in the shade despite the warm sunshine. They were all enjoying lots of long grass. The foal one came straight over to say hello and received the first of many neck rubs. While he was being stroked, he would occasionally reach out and grab some grass, munching on it enthusiastically. Megan and Pandora continued to graze in the surrounding area, but soon came over to say hello. They were both nice and friendly. They were happy, relaxed and looking really well. The little one enjoyed some more grass before coming over for more attention. He was super friendly and was just happy to stand and be stroked for long periods. He was giving me lots of head rubs and nuzzles as a thank-you. The ponies wandered south for a while, only to turn around and graze right back to where I first found them. They seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the vegetation. The little one had been enjoying a long back rub before going to nurse from his mum just after 19:00. I waited until he was done, before saying cheerio to them.
The ponies were all good today.
