Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 11th August - All 3 seen

The ponies were all happily grazing in the pasture around ///shakes.cured.bother at 15:50 this afternoon. They appeared to be enjoying the warm sunshine. Unfortunately, it brought with it a large number of flies, which were bothering the ponies. They were all very friendly and came straight over to say hello. The foal enjoyed his usual neck rub.

The ponies continued to graze east, spending a lot of time eating by the pond.  Megan and Pandora both took a drink from the stream after they crossed it.  Pandora came over several times, giving me licks and nuzzles, before allowing me to stroke the sides of her neck.  It was so nice to spend some quiet, relaxing time with them this afternoon.

The ponies made it to the area to the right of the Test Track gate around 16:45. The little one had been splitting his time between grazing and receiving lots of strokes. He nursed from his mum around 16:55, and then followed me over to the shade.  For the next twenty minutes, he stood right in front of me, thoroughly enjoying having the sides of his neck stroked.  He was completely relaxed, bowing his head and resting his eyes. The girls continued to graze in the surrounding area.  I bid farewell to them shorty after 17:20.

The ponies were all good today.
