Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 18th August - All 3 seen

The ponies were all grazing in the pasture around ///broad.obviously.risks at 18:40 this evening. They were enjoying the last of the sunshine. The foal heard me speaking to Pandora and came running through the thicket so say hello and receive his first neck rub. The girls were both friendly too and came and said hello as I approached. The little one split his time between grazing and being stroked this evening. He was very affectionate, giving me lots of head rubs and nuzzles. At one point, he stood at the side of the path and enjoyed a long back rub. The little one was very relaxed, bowing his head and resting a hind leg. He had numerous sticky burs in his mane, which he was happy for me to remove. The girls continued to graze happily. They were enjoying lots of fresh grass as they wandered east towards the stream. Pandora came over several times and was happy just to stand beside me and rest. The ponies were all happy, relaxed and looking well. I said my goodbyes shortly before 19:30. As I was walking away, the ponies crossed the main path and disappeared into the thicket on the other side. The ponies were all good today.
