Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 17th May - All 4 seen

The ponies were found in the thicket around ///parting.dads.grunt on the northeast side of the site at 17:15 this afternoon.  The three girls were all happily grazing, enjoying lots of long grasses and leaves from the bushes.  The foal was initially lying down sleeping near Megan, but soon woke up and came over to say hello. He had been lying in some mud, but we quickly cleaned him up with lots of back and side rubs.

Like yesterday, the ponies moved southwest, stopping off around ///wrong.blanks.crafts where they continued to graze.  The little one took a break from playing to go and explore the stream.  He soon came back, though, and was seen nibbling at some grass while receiving a long back rub.

After a while, the ponies moved further south to the slightly more open area around ///plea.marine.wiggling.  The foal took the opportunity to have a bit of a run around.  It is impressive just how fast he is, even through muddy, swampy land.  He soon came back for more attention, gently nibbling at me when I would take a break from stroking him.  The other ponies continued to eat in the surrounding area.  I said my goodbyes at 18:30.

The ponies were all good today.
