Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Thursday 16th May - All 4 seen

The three ponies and the foal were found in the thicket around ///blog.rated.spud on the northeast side of the site at 18:15 this evening.  They were all happy, relaxed and looking well.  The girls were busy eating lots of long grass.  It was lovely to see the newbie pony with them.  She was very friendly and came and said hello several times.

The little one was full of beans tonight and was keen to show off all his new skills.  As soon as he saw me coming, he ran over to say hello and was happy to stand and receive lots of rubs.  He then ran over to his mum and jumped up, putting his legs over her back.  He soon got down and returned for a long back rub.  The little one was looking very well and appears to be filling out a bit.

The ponies slowly grazed southwest, getting to the area around ///wrong.blanks.crafts by 18:30.  For the next thirty minutes, the little one alternated between running around in circles at full speed, including jumping over the stream several times, and standing beside me wanting to be made a fuss of.  I have no doubt he is going to sleep well tonight after all of his antics.    While all of this was going on, Megan continued to eat grass on the far side of the stream, with the other two ponies relaxing under the shade of the surrounding trees.  I said goodbye to them just after 19:00.

The ponies were all good today.
