Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 12th May - 3 seen

The two original ponies and the foal were found in the area around ///salads.curries.attic at 14:45 this afternoon.  They were all happy, relaxed and enjoying the sunshine.  The little one came running through the swampy ground to meet me, as I was approaching.  Like yesterday, he just wanted to play and have fun.  He was happy to be stroked all over, but particularly enjoyed his back and shoulder rub.  The other ponies continued to graze, slowly moving south.  The little one would go and catch up with them, only to come bounding back to me as I got near.

After a while, the ponies crossed over the main path and into the pasture opposite around ///tram.confused.apply.  We played some more, before the little one went and had a lie down at 15:25.  He was on his best behaviour today and even though he was nibbling me, he never used his teeth.

I said goodbye and then set off to try and find the newbie pony.  However, despite an exhaustive search of the entire site, including the northeast corner and the wooded area along the Aldershot Road, I was unable to find her today.  I found the other three ponies on the south side of Brock's Hill around ///stay.eggshell.tonight at 16:10, but she still wasn't with them.   Despite searching until 16:45 and checking most places twice, I was unable to locate her.  I hope she is hunkered down somewhere, keeping cool from the warm sunshine.

The two ponies that were found, and the foal, were all good today.
