Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 18th May - All 4 seen

Two of the ponies were resting at the side of the path around ///players.snuggled.agree at 15:50 this afternoon.  They were both looking really well.  There were a few flies around today, but they were not bothering the ponies too much.  The palomino pony was very friendly and enjoyed getting a long head and ear rub.  Megan was happily munching on grass nearby.  The foal was initially sleeping, but he soon woke up and came running over to say hello.

I sat down in the middle of the pasture for nearly an hour, keeping him amused.  I've no idea where the time went.  Most of the time, the little one was happy to stand and receive rubs.  He especially enjoyed having his neck and shoulders stroked today.  The rest of the time, he just wanted to play, which mostly involved him nuzzling and nibbling at me.  A couple of times, he went off to nurse from his mum before coming back for more.  He also went for a run around, sprinting off into the distance only to come thundering back, running in circles around me.  He was quite the character today.  Megan continued to graze in the distance.

By 17:00, the first two ponies had fully rested and had crossed over the path to start grazing in the area around ///branching.urgent.glove.  Megan and the foal soon joined them.  The girls were enjoying lots of fresh grass.  I said goodbye to them at just after 17:15, but not before the little one had come over for a final back rub.

The ponies were all good today.
