Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Thursday 23rd May - All 4 seen - new padlock on the Test Track gate

The ponies were found in the thicket in the swampy area around ///beard.swoop.bounty at 19:35 this evening.  The little one came running over to greet me as I was getting close.  It appeared that he had been lying down somewhere until recently, as he had a big muddy patch on his left-hand side.  The girls were enjoying an assortment of long grasses.  They were all happy and relaxed.

The foal was very friendly and was pleased to receive a long neck and back rub while standing on top of a mound.  He was giving me lots of cuddles tonight before he decided to attack the tongue on my boot, giving it a good bite.  A little while later, he was showing off by doing hops, skips and jumps before setting off on fast loops through the thicket.  He soon came back for more attention, though.

The girls continued to happily graze in the surrounding area. They all came and said hello and were looking really well. I said goodbye to the ponies at around 20:15.

Before finding the ponies, I took a walk down to the gate into the Test Track section and was pleased to see that there is now a shiny new padlock on the gate.

The ponies were all good tonight.
