Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 20th May - All 4 seen

The ponies were found just along from the main entrance at 17:45 this evening.  Megan was grazing in the shade, while the little one was lying down asleep at her feet.  The other two ponies were on the other side of the path, enjoying lots of fresh grass.  They were both very friendly and came and said hello.  After a while, they both stopped grazing and stood and relaxed in the sunshine.  The palomino pony was happy to receive an ear and head rub, and was soon resting her eyes.

The little one woke up shortly before 18:00.  When he wandered over to say hello, I received a lovely little whinny from him.  He was happy to get a long neck and shoulder rub and was very relaxed.  The little one showed great interest in the tongue of my boot and gave it a good nibble.

At 18:25, the ponies wandered round to the pasture to the northwest of Brock's Hill around ///carpets.lines.loom.  The girls continued to graze happily.  The foal wanted to play and be stroked some more.  He would occasionally take a break and go off for a run, only to come back for more attention.

After saying goodbye to the ponies shortly before 19:00, I took a walk down to the gate into the Test Track section.  The gate was padlocked tonight.  However, the padlock had not been replaced, and you could still give it a good tug to open it.

The ponies were all good this evening.
